What we have built, and what it taught us.
Every build here is real: it was made for a named person or business, it ran, and someone used it. The one in the film is a client app for a personal trainer, live since July 2026 with her clients on it.
Duncan Hyde and the Studio
Hyde Media Studio is where Duncan Hyde designs and builds software for businesses: client apps, customer-facing guides, and the systems and automations behind them. Duncan has spent the last eleven years in ecommerce and digital marketing, after an earlier career in retail. Every project starts with what he regards as most important: understanding how the business works and what it needs, before anything is built.
Duncan uses current AI tools throughout the build, which shortens the time from an idea to working software. What those tools cannot supply is an understanding of the business itself, and that is where his experience comes in.
Keeping client data private
Some projects involve personal or commercially sensitive information, such as customer records. For that work, Hyde Media is putting a clear rule in place: data of that kind is processed with AI models running on our own local compute, so it remains on hardware we control and is not sent to an external AI service. Work that involves no client data, such as writing the software itself, uses the best tools available.
If your project involves sensitive information, please raise it at the outset and we will explain how it will be handled.

An app for a personal trainer
For: A personal trainer and her clients
Her clients tick off workouts, log food with photos only she can see, and message her on the exercise itself. Live on her own domain, with real clients on it, since July 2026.
An e-bike buyer's guide for ebikeist
For: ebikeist, a premium e-bike shop
The "which bike is right for me?" conversation, handled on the website without a sales call, and written to be found by search and answer engines.

The system the rest of this list was built with: each AI agent specified, tested, versioned and documented before it ships. It also runs the studio that runs Hyde Media.
Daily Brief
For: Duncan, every morning
Calendar, training, journal and tasks in one conversation: Claude talks directly to Strava, Notion, Oura and Google Calendar through forty-odd tools. Used daily since January 2026.
Family Hub
For: One family, one wall
A screen in the kitchen that replaces five apps: the day ahead, maths practice that adjusts itself, habits, savings goals and the calendar, for each person in the house.
Glaze and Pushable
For: Duncan, on a Thursday in a cafe
Two Mac menu-bar apps, each built in a morning and used every week since. Glaze turns a plain draft into a styled, publishable post in one click. Pushable sits in the menu bar and says whether the cafe wifi will let a code push through before you try.
